2025 Season Recap

The 2025 season marked another major step forward for Collar City FC. In just our second year competing in the Capital District Soccer League (CDSL), the club reached the semi-finals — the furthest stage we’ve advanced since joining the league in 2024. The achievement was no accident; it was built on relentless work ethic and countless training sessions at Prospect Park, where the standard was raised week after week. That commitment showed every time the team stepped onto the field. We’re proud to recognize Romernio Morris as Player of the Season, Justin Matrose as Youth Player of the Season, Russell Hines for scoring our Goal of the Year — a decisive strike that secured our place in the semi-finals — and Sam Spraker, who led the squad in minutes played. The 2025 campaign was a reflection of the club’s growth, belief, and the momentum continuing to build within Collar City FC.
